Researcher Development International (RDI)

About RDI

We are an Australian-based researcher training group providing professional development workshops and tailored mentoring for international researchers writing in English.

We have over 15 years' experience in intercultural researcher training and language development in a wide range of academic disciplines. This experience includes skill development for research communication in English, international journal editing and article reviewing, doctoral thesis supervision and examination, and intercultural supervision training.

Our clients are Asian, European and Australian universities and research institutes and the staff and students who belong to them.

 

Training provided

We provide training on topics including the following:

  • Developing the research capacity of groups or individuals through a strategic English language-based approach
  • Writing articles in English (in all disciplines) for submission to international journals
  • Planning and writing research theses in English for international examination
  • Skills and strategies for effective supervision of higher-degree research students
  • Skills for writing effective and inclusive referee reports for international journals
